We are looking for a Automation Test Lead to focus on building our automation testing framework. This newly created role is a fantastic opportunity to come in and build something from scratch and help drive our business forward.


Co-ordinate, develop, maintain and own all System and Automation test related activities. Analysis of business and system requirements to derive test scenarios for Automation. System test scheduling, test script creation, test execution and defect re-testing. Logging and tracking defects found during System testing. Working closely with project managers, business analysts and development teams to ensure the solution under test is delivered to the highest quality. Working on high profile projects delivering customer facing and back office solutions. Adopt and comply with Network values, policies and procedures, and regulatory frameworks including:

Code of Conduct Health & Safety Data Protection, privacy and use of IT resources Regulatory standards and probity Risks and internal controls framework Human Resources policies and procedures Equality and diversity Education

University Degree or equivalent work experience in the housing sector will be considered. ISEB or ISTQB testing certificate preferred but not essential (depending on experience). Prince 2, MSP or Agile certified with hands on experience of working through multiple software delivery life cycles. Experience of working in both Waterfall and Agile project delivery. Knowledge and skills required

Advanced skills in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, Visio and Word. Good knowledge of test management techniques for planning and monitoring test delivery. Good knowledge of project management approaches, such as PRINCE2 and MSP. Excellent analytical and numerical skills with an excellent understanding of data analysis. Outstanding communication skills at all levels for both technical and non technical audiences. Organised with excellent attention to detail and a results driven approach to test delivery. Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server and Visual Studio Team Services would be beneficial. Working knowledge and exposure to open source test tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Apache JMeter, BlazeMeter, etc. Advanced coding skills ideally with C# (Java, or JavaScript are fine), SQL, .NET and HTML Experience required

Significant experience working as an Automation test analyst in a busy IT environment. Experience gained in successfully delivering quality testing and results in multiple projects. Broad IT knowledge and experience gained preferably in the social housing sector but not essential. Strong technical background and experienced in using automation tools for large business systems. Experienced in the use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM as well as testing the solution. Ability to work under pressure and able to prioritise your time to meet tight deadlines. Able to work out of hours if / when required to complete Automation test activities. Install and configure the automation test tools and execute the scenarios utilising the tools. Ability to mentor colleagues on testing, specifically System Testing and Automation Testing. Excellent communication and presentation skills Benefits
