Running world-leading hackathons across the globe bringing our clients and change makers together as a community to rapidly solve their most complex problems Accelerating the adoption of new innovations with key pilot clients Scaling validated innovations and solutions across the industry to other customers and their users Our flagship hackathon, known as the “HackTrain”, is a movement leading innovation across Europe influencing policy change, bringing the entire industry together, and rapidly solving industry problems.

Your role will be to lead the community engagement & communications efforts at Hack Partners as we set on our goal to transition from startup to scale-up. You can expect to undertake the following:

Building and regularly engaging with a community of young, talented innovators interested in the HackTrain movement Creating and executing on marketing strategies for all of our activities including events, consultancy services, and tech products Build the HackTrain movement with the rest of the Hack Partners team You will be at the heart of a truly unique movement that will have a massive impact within the UK/EU economy. Here are some examples of what you will be doing:

Creating new social media posts (including graphics) to share across our social media and online platforms to regularly promote Hack Partners’ activities & events. Leading the creation and execution of marketing strategies that will directly impact the growth of the Hack Partners and make a difference to the transport ecosystem. Helping run our hackathon events during certain weekends (we run 2-3 hackathons a year)

Requirements

Essential SkillsAnalyticalWhat we need is someone that is both creative and analytical. You are passionate about breaking down big problems into manageable smaller chunks to solve as well as reflectively looking back on your work and pinpointing “even better ifs” easily.

Spreadsheets shouldn’t scare you. Your ability to understand and utilise spreadsheet functions very quickly will help you automate parts of your role faster.

Energetic & Approachable

95%+ of our participants say our hackathons are one of the best they’ve ever attended. We’re proud of that rating, but to get it, we really have to go above and beyond every single time.

To excel in this role, you’ll need to naturally find joy in the small details and enjoy making things great!

You’ll be trained to lead and inspire a group of 60+ developers, designers, and entrepreneurs over a weekend. As a result, you can’t be camera shy or afraid of presenting to large audiences.

Wordsmith

One minute you could be writing to an 18-year student hacker and the next to C-suite executives of multinational organisations. Both are incredibly important to our business and you recognise the need for a different style of communication.

You are comfortable producing case studies, website content, social media posts, FAQs, newsletters, presentations and anything else in between.

Other Attributes

You have a strong understanding of and passion for technology and early stage companies You are interested in learning more about and working in transport; generally having an open mind and interest about the industries we work in. DesirableYou have previous experience in a startup, early-stage investment or technology context You have previously launched widespread community initiatives (e.g. building a slack channel, launching engagement programmes, running event series and writing email newsletters) would be ideal. You are comfortable with writing press releases and content marketing pieces Ability to use HTML/CSS/Javascript (web developer skills) You have existing knowledge of the transport industry Benefits

Salary: £32,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience
