DoctorLink is using tech and machine learning to democratise access to healthcare. We help patients get the right medical advice, faster and more conveniently. We operate a 24/7 service, 365 days a year providing around the clock care to our service users. This service is underpinned by our symptom assessment algorithms.

The successful applicant will take outputs from the external reviewers and assess them against set criteria summarising the issues for the UK and US DoctorLink medical leads to review. Activities will include running scenarios and capturing variances, reviewing and recommending changes to assets and working with US and UK reviewers to find agreed solutions to problems with reference to the literature and guidelines.

This role requires deep expertise and experience in diagnosis and clinical risk management. Along with an understanding of clinical epidemiology and Bayesian logic. The candidate must be content with undertaking significant amounts of computer based work to identify the issues and to suggest potential solutions. The candidate must be committed to strong governance, be willing to follow governance processes and understand the importance of accurate record keeping.

You will assist in the development of an integrated approach to the delivery of patient care across the ‘whole system’ of health and social care. You will work in partnership with all relevant stakeholders.


Clinical team including non- clinical builders, external reviewers and academic experts, US client delivery team, IT team, Database experts.


Working within the multidisciplinary team at DoctorLink, you will be responsible for the following:

To act as an team member providing clinical expertise and ensuring adherence to governance processes required for the symptom assessment algorithmsAccurately assess input from reviewers to identify issues which require work in the symptom assessments.Repeat existing scenarios and traversals agreed with reviewers in previous years to confirm they are still accurate. If they are inaccurate to collate the data on the inaccuracy and to summarise with a recommendation for change to be made.To maintain accurate, contemporaneous computerised records of every part of the process including any dialogue with internal and external decision makers. To be aware of and work within the performance framework for the online digital services, Clinical Quality Commission and the National Quality Requirements and any national or international guidelines as appropriate To provide clinical support to the multidisciplinary team at DoctorLink QUALITY ASSURANCE

Contribute to and implement initiatives relating to quality assurance and performance management Monitor and maintain standards against National & international Quality Requirements, Clinical Quality Commission, and Key Performance Indicators Clearly document and ensure all issues are identified and properly raised to the appropriate individuals in DoctorLink COMMUNICATION

Be aware of responsibilities under GDPR Ensure effective communication takes place within and across teams using face to face, electronic and written communication Negotiate with other healthcare professionals internal and external. Remain up-to-date with organisational policies, procedures, news etc RESEARCH / AUDIT

For clinical governance and training purposes, regular review of work is a requirement of this job. With the wider team


Registered nurse or paramedic with current NMC/HSPC registration. Evidence of on-going learning MSc in Advanced Practice or evidence of accumulation of relevant experience / knowledge. Non-medical prescribing. V300 qualified or evidence of accumulation of relevant evidence/knowledgeE Experience as a post qual Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Experience of working autonomously diagnosing and treating patients. Excellent oral and written communication. An understanding of the emergency care pathway. Recent evidence and experience of prescribing. Knowledge of primary health care issues affecting a diverse population. Understanding of equality and diversity and its significance for health and social care. Knowledge in the delivery of Health Care Advice and Health Promotion. Understanding of good practice in evidence based medicine Knowledge of Clinical Governance issues and ability to establish systems in practice. Understanding of clinical risk in diagnosis and Bayesian logic. Ability to understand diagnostic uncertainty and the role of safety netting. Familiarity in the use of IT systems, e.g. MS Office applications. Ability to be flexible and adaptable. Ability to be motivated and forward thinking. Extremely effective communicator, able to manage staff in a high pressure environment. Demonstrate energy and determination to deliver on commitments in an ever changing environment. Benefits
