We are looking for someone to join our growing team as a part of our Compliance function. We don’t view compliance as a hurdle or obstacle to business, but as a valuable asset to be used as a commercial advantage in our industry. We need someone with the requisite experience and knowledge, who is keen to come and help build an industry leading Compliance team.

As a member of the compliance team, you will work on the following:

Developing Bud’s nascent compliance function from the ground up across all areas of the business. Internal policy formation and review. Monitoring of company compliance with policy and processes. Due diligence for clients, partners, suppliers and users of the Bud platform. Monitoring regulatory changes for the impact on Bud. Delivering internal training on compliance matters. Reporting on progress to senior management and escalating issues as required. Promoting compliance best practice with a view to reducing regulatory, operational and conduct risks. Requirements

We expect you to have:

Substantial experience in a compliance or legal role, or related consulting role. A strong understanding of the UK and European Financial Regulatory Framework and applicable laws. Knowledge of FCA regulatory framework with some direct relevant experience.

Eyebrow raising skills:

Legal background and qualifications such as a law degree, LL.B, LL.M, GDL, LPC Experience of working in payments or the financial services sector Evidence of leadership or management experience Project management capabilities. You’ll be:

Analytical allied with the ability to think creatively and possess strong problem solving skills. A team-worker - must be able to build working relationships and interact with a diverse group of internal and external contacts. Selflessness - able to put the need of others before yourself. Honest and operate on good moral principles - critical that you have a high degree of personal integrity. Hard working and able to balance workload and schedules with multiple priorities. Passionate to help shape and grow a rapidly growing tech startup. Confident to challenge our tech/tools and collaboratively provide better solutions. Benefits

Standard holidays 25 days + all bank holidays + office closed between Christmas & New Year's Eve


The salary package includes a contributory pension to match up to 5% of the salary, and Bud will also pay for a gym membership for the local gym.


You’ll be given a budget for a brand new MacBook (or similar), and/or computer accessories so you’ll have the best tools for the job.

Hours & flexibility

Standard hours are 9:30 am to 6 pm, however as part of our team, you'll benefit from the flexibility to manage your own day to optimise the way you work to be at your best.


We’re big on keeping Bud a social team, so Christmas and Summer parties can be a big deal. We’ll also organise sports events, music gigs and after-work meet-ups.


Bud’s current office is a newly renovated space, specifically designed to our needs. Cool interior, breakout spaces, professional meeting rooms, brand new kitchen and a shower room for our part-time athletes.
