Castle Trust is a financial services firm applying for a banking license and we’re looking for IT talent to help us to build a new bank. Like other established firms, we have legacy applications that need maintaining, platforms that need migrating and also new customer facing technology to be designed and developed.

As we create our new savings division, we want people who want to solve puzzles that reflect our reality; getting the most out of existing assets, implementing shiny new software and infrastructure, but also building effective bridges between the old and the new.

Our existing team of 40 high performing technologists come from a broad range of backgrounds, all of whom recognise the enormous potential for new ideas from new teams across mortgages, consumer credit, investments and deposits.

We are growing rapidly (50% in the next 12 months), and we are looking to hire a variety of IT professionals to join us at an exciting stage in our development.

As part of our growth we are currently looking for a Data Enginer to join us in our London or Basingstoke office. You will play a key role in ensuring that our internal customers have the data and insight that are required to underpin our high level of financial product innovation, pace of change and growth.

This would suit a talented engineer with a history of success in a combination of demanding Data, Insight and Reporting roles.


Have extensive experience of T-SQL programming in MS SQL in addition to a breadth and depth of knowledge across Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra, MySQL Excellent report creation and design skills – and the ability to work closely with the business in definition of complex reports. Good knowledge of ETL processes and best practice. Previous experience developing MI/BI solutions (eg PowerBI, Business Objects, Qlikview etc). Solid experience of advanced DBMS/SQL experience (SQL Server / MySQL preferred). Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel / VBA. Knowledge of version control solutions. Experience with documentation and specification writing. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 5 years of experience in data architecture, data modelling and database design Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Benefits
