Cuvva was the first company to sell insurance by the hour, through an app. We have cut out all the middlemen and built our own insurance platform from scratch.

As a tech company, we intend to change the way people engage with their insurance company and the way they buy insurance. We are passionate about fixing insurance and about building incredible products to make things simpler.

Why Cuvva?

Based in Shoreditch, we’re a well-funded Techstars alumni with significant traction; hundreds of thousands of people have downloaded the Cuvva app to insure themselves on a short-term basis.

We started off with a simple proposition: car insurance for as little as one hour. We have become one of the largest players in the short-term car insurance market and we’re now looking to expand into different verticals. We are now looking for talented and motivated individuals to help us achieve this.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a night-owl who can be alert and focused throughout the early hours, to ensure our users are provided with swift and informative assistance. You need to be happy working independently and confident in communicating with the wider team - very individual customers and niche cases will pop up on a daily basis. As a growing company, we need to believe that you have real drive and enthusiasm to work for a young and vibrant tech-driven company. We’re really excited about where Cuvva is going and we want you to be too!

Tons of empathy is key when interacting with customers, but you’ll also need to be calm under pressure - unhappy users can often be turned around with assistance and reassurance. You’ll need to be a detective at times - we are continually looking for new ways to define problems and provide solutions by investigating what the root cause might be. Your ideas can have an impact on how we change the product to fit the customers’ needs. Alongside online customer support, you will also be responsible for verifying identity documents and investigating potentially fraudulent activity, so a keen eye for detail is very valuable.


You will be assisting users by resolving their questions and issues at a relatively fast-pace (currently, our average response time is between 1-2 minutes). This should be approached in an empathetic manner, by utilising the training resources and knowledge base you have acquired, in order to provide assistance, assurance or a solution. You should be continually suggesting ways to deliver a fantastic service to our users but we also expect every member of the team to lead or immerse themselves in other projects and investigations.

This would be a part-time role, with a minimum commitment of two nights a week. We are looking for someone who would prefer to predominantly work between the hours of 10pm-6am. There may also be some office-based shifts, commencing earlier in the afternoon, in order to provide opportunities to keep up to speed on changes and announcements throughout the company but these will be discussed and arranged in advance.

All training will take place over at least 3 weeks (Monday-Friday) between 10am-6pm but following this, the vast majority of shifts will be done remotely. (Timing can be flexible during training to fit with your circumstances, if required)

Please bear in mind that you must have permission to work in the UK and you should be fluent in written and spoken English.
