Purpose of the role

BGC Partners are looking for a Desk Assistant to join our Interest Rate Options Desk. This is a support role; assisting the brokers on the desk; so that they are best placed to trade effectively. This could be an ideal role for a recent school leaver who is interested in entering the world of financial services.

Key Responsibilities

To ensure trades are written and electronically entered into our trade capture system, TradeSoft.Construct trade recaps, brokerage calculations, client agreements and market data.Liaising with Markit Wire and Swap Execution Facility (SEF) as well as our own back office staff to resolve any internal or external trade discrepanciesUsing internal systems to price Options in EUR, GBP, and USD markets.Maintaining Volume Match, our electronic trading platform, which uses market data to build and control our live screen.Act as a link broker between our London and New York Options desksInvolved in the testing and implementation of technology upgrades Skills Required
