The firm has an international team handling cross border work for UK clients operating overseas and international clients with interests in the UK. Our client has a reputation for being supportive, whilst retaining a commercial edge to match the capabilities of larger firms.

The DepartmentThe employment team is made up of commercially savvy solicitors who undertake the full range of employment work in a wide range of sectors.

The team's work covers the life-cycle of employment; from recruitment, contracts, retention, absence, performance, rewards, change, redundancy to TUPE, tribunals, disputes, disciplinary action, dismissal and discrimination. Our client understands the intricate workplace issues faced by organisations in sectors such as retail, franchising and recruitment areas of niche expertise.

The RoleOur client is currently looking for two bright and enthusiastic employment solicitors; one in the range of NQ-5 years PQE and the other in the region of 6+ years PQE. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious employment lawyer to join a leading firm in the Hertfordshire area.

In this role, you will support the employment team generally and will work closely with the Lead Partner in the team. Therefore, this is an excellent opportunity to work alongside expert partners and senior lawyers on complex matters. The team boasts an enviable client base, working for a range of clients of different sizes and sectors.

The ideal person for this role would be somebody with experience from a City/West End firm, or a leading regional firm, who wants to progress their career in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a close-knit team, with the opportunity to build their own practice over time.

Our client offers clear career paths and developmental opportunities, working closely with the team in London (and from the London office if desired) and with the benefit of being based in roomy offices in St Albans. Situated right next to the train station, the offices are ideally placed for people who live in Hertfordshire and North London, who are tired of the London treadmill and want to regain some balance to their lives without losing quality of work.
