Are you based in the borough of Hillingdon?

A special needs secondary and sixth form school based in West Drayton, is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to begin a role immediately. The School provides support for pupils with a variety of special needs. You will be working with the Specialist ASD Unit and supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and severe autism.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting autism, either in a professional capacity or through personal experience. Educational experience or a background in care is preferred. However, a calm and patient personality is valued above all.

The Role:

* Secondary and Sixth Form Special Needs School in West Drayton

* Hours: 8:30 to 4:00

* Immediate start

* Working 1:1 with pupil with autism and challenging behaviour

* Small classes of up to 5 pupil and class ratio of 1 staff to 2 pupils

* Providing weekly progress reports to teacher

* Creating a stimulating and engaging environment for this pupil to learn

* Personal care or nappy changing required
