Hometrack’s clients account for 75% of the UK mortgage market. In 2017, Hometrack was acquired by Zoopla Property Group.

THE ROLE

The role of the Client Analyst sits within the Hometrack Analytics team based in the London Head Office of Zoopla Property Group.

Analytics is a core function and centre of excellence within Hometrack, responsible for valuation and risk model innovation and development (including the UK leading Hometrack AVM), analytics consultancy and generating actionable and meaningful insights and predictions to be used by decision makers both internal and external. The role of the Client Analyst is to enable and deliver value to our customers by combining data and analysis to solve complex business challenges.

The successful candidate will be expected to be a creative problem solver, team player, keenly attentive to detail and customer and outcome focussed. The candidate will be required to communicate ideas and results clearly to a variety of audiences.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide our customers with meaningful, actionable insights related to valuation and lending risk and portfolio reporting Process automated valuations and reports for customers Analyse and review a wide variety of data to make suggestions and recommendations for model improvement and innovation Using data and analysis to help customers maximise their utilisation of Hometrack services Build and maintain BI tools to support the commercial and operations teams Prepare documentation to explain the use and functions of analytics product and services Provide support to the rest of the team and wider organisation REQUIREMENTS

About You

You’re passionate about analytics and have a keen interest in the UK property market and/or financial services. You can demonstrate a track record of delivering great solutions and want to take full ownership and responsibility of your work.

Essential

Bachelors or Masters degree related to Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operational Research, Economics etc. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate large sets of information with attention to detail and accuracy Strong understanding of statistics, probability theory, correlation and regression analysis Excellent problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with using data visualisation tools (preferably Power BI) Highly competent in using Excel and T-SQL 2+ years in a data driven, analytics role Experience using Python and/or R and developing ML solutions Experience presenting data analysis to technical and non-technical audiences Experience working in a credit risk or property risk function Desired
