As a BDM, your responsibilities will include:

Build and maintain an in-depth understanding of our platform, how it works and the benefits it offers Manage the sales process from opportunity creation to close Research and identify potential clients, identify decision makers and qualify leads Build a strong pipeline of relevant opportunities to deliver against team targets Negotiate and close profitable contracts with clients to meet revenue targets Work with our Marketing Team to identify key target markets and campaigns to drive revenue Work with our Implementation Team throughout the onboarding of new customers whilst maintaining a commercial lead Understand and proactively learn about trends the UK payment industry Anticipate and identify objections, questions and queries clients may have regarding our API Develop new commercial propositions that will allow Starling to have broad appeal to potential partners Requirements

5 years + experience within similar roles Proven track record of meeting new business development targets as a team Proven ability to identify and develop new business Strong, reliable methodology to plan and develop sales Outstanding relationship building skills, internally and with clients Ongoing relationship management with existing clients Excellent negotiation skills to secure profitable contracts Excellent communication skills EXPERIENCE

Experience within payments and enterprise or technology sales Thorough understanding of Payment Schemes (Faster Payments, BACs, SEPA, CHAPs) and how they work: processes; deadlines; issues that can arise and how to overcome them Experience selling Payment Schemes to large scale financial institutions and corporates Experience using CRM systems Benefits
