Description:
Our Client is looking for an Bookkeeper/Administrator to work within a long standing family company directly reporting to the Company Directors and Financial Director.

Based in the Edmonton/Tottenham are, this Company has been trading on their reputation for almost 100 years, and have stayed at the forefront of their industry through constant investment in developments, design, innovation and a passionate commitment to customer service.

They have grown from a wholesaler serving customers in the capital and the SE of England, into a dynamic global company providing many varied customers with the best in service and choice.

They are looking for someone with solid bookkeeping skills and experience of computerised accounting systems. Experience in all aspects of bookkeeping. Will have responsibility for Credit Control, so a good telephone manner and experience of dealing with customers essential.

Summary Role:

Bookkeeper responsible for:

Sales Ledger and Credit Control

Purchase Ledger

Cash Book ($ and £)

Bankings

Creditor Payments ($ and £)

Petty Cash and Expense management

VAT returns etc

Nominal Ledger to TB



Detailed responsibilities:Bookkeeping

Sales Ledger Cash Receipts (invoices generated automatically)

Purchase Ledger Invoices and Payment Processing for supplier and Overhead invoices, including currency (mostly US Dollar)

Cash Book Bank Reconciliation (weekly) ($ and £)

Credit Control, including statements, calling customer, reconciling customer accounts, handling customer account queries.

Petty Cash & Expense Accounts

VAT Returns

Reconciling key control accounts such as Debtors, Creditors, PAYE and Wages, VAT etc

Maintaining Nominal Ledger to TB level as a basis for regular management accounts

Generating basic Management Information

Order Administration/ planning

Monitor stock requirements

Maintaining Sage stock records

Maintain planning schedule for production and consolidation of shipments

Liaise with Directors and place orders

Liaise with forwarding agents re customs clearance

Other Duties

As part of a small office team, other duties will include

General Filing and Admin

Provide cover for other office team roles as and when required
