The Company:

My client are an industry-leading field and experiential marketing agency, that have over a decade's experience helping some of the world's biggest brands, accelerate their brand performance.

The role:

Reporting into the IT Manager, the 3rd Line Engineer will be a hands-on role within a highly fast-paced environment working with some of the largest brands in the world. The 3rd Line Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance and support of my clients core server and desktop infrastructure.

The role is an internal customer facing role and as such requires excellent communication and customer service skills. The position requires effective management and prioritisation of own tasks, excellent responsiveness to issues and problems as well as the ability to contribute to an environment oriented on trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort.

The Responsibilities:

* Keep abreast of changes in the standards, technologies or methodologies

* Take part in IT related projects including system integration

* Identifying the best solutions through technology to meet short to long term needs

* Risk assessment and risk management

* Coordinate application of software releases and patches

* Deputise for the IT Manager and attend meetings, trainings or seminars

* Support in coordinating the needs of stakeholders across the business

* Be mindful of stability, security, resilience, and disaster recovery needs

* Effectively communicate concepts and ideas to different audience types and gain management buy-in

* Understand and document detailed configuration of all systems

* Providing fault diagnosis and treatment to address problems

The Key Skills:

* Microsoft Windows Server Knowledge (2016 R2)

* including (AD, DNS, Group Policy, WDS)

* Microsoft Windows 10

* Virtualisation Technologies (Hyper-V)

* HP / Nimble Storage Area Network Systems

* Scripting Knowledge Windows Powershell

* Documenting Processes and procedures

* Software and hardware troubleshooting

* Ability to consider the larger picture as well as configuration at a detailed level

* Excellent communication skills including verbal and written

* Ensure delivery of task is efficient, accurate and conducted in a timely manner

* Understanding of ITIL and ISO's (27001, 9001)

* Mentoring, coaching and training skills of other team members

* Report security events or potential events to the IT Manager or Head of Operations
