Description:
Hello, we’re Treatwell.

Here at Treatwell, we are changing the way people book their hair and beauty services. Today we are the biggest beauty bookings platform in Europe working with over 30,000 salons, processing over 1 million orders per month and operating across 11 countries.

Our success to date is down to 550 passionate and brilliantly-talented people working together to harness the power of beauty, and the beauty of technology.

However, we are not even close to being done. Today, less than 5% of hair and beauty is booked online - that’s tiny. We believe that booking online is inevitable and our mission is to give every customer their perfect hair and beauty experience, and to revolutionise an industry.

Here in the Treatwell Tech & Product team we’re a nice bunch, we love to ship product and we like to think we’re pretty smart. We believe in Agile principles and values and our teams use Scrum or Kanban with various XP practices, we love DDD and we are embracing eventual consistency in our new services. We like to use the right tech for the job and we don’t get seduced by the latest shiny fads.

Our current tech stack includes Java 8, Spring, Hibernate, ES2015, NodeJS, ReactJS (both client and on NodeJS server-side), Docker and RabbitMQ, as well as iOS and Android apps. Everything runs in AWS.

We do things well, but we’re not complacent. We want to do great work and we want to be known for it throughout the tech community. Our team is growing very quickly and we believe we have a unique opportunity to build something truly phenomenal.

The RoleWe’re looking for a brilliant Agile Coach to help build and grow the best Agile team in London! You will be responsible for teaching and mentoring Agile values, principles and practices as well as coaching teams and individuals to overcome challenges and improve performance. Whilst you will have plenty of opportunity to help your teams improve, you won’t encounter many of the usual organisational impediments to progress. Treatwell’s values are aligned with those associated with Agile, and our teams are trusted and empowered to make meaningful decisions about what they do and how they work.

About You You are an experienced Agile Coach or Scrum Master and have worked with high performing, cross-functional, self-organising Agile teams You live and breathe the values and principles associated with Agile development and you have expert knowledge of both Scrum and Kanban You have first class facilitation and coaching skills You are just as comfortable acting as Scrum Master within a team as you are coaching Agile values to business and Exec stakeholders You can teach and mentor a number of Agile practices such as user story mapping, ATDD, BDD, value stream mapping, continuous delivery etc You are active in the Agile community and are happy to represent Treatwell at events and conferences You are a servant-leader and you get a kick out of helping people You have an insatiable appetite for continuous improvement and solving problems You like to have fun at work!
