Business Development Manager

London with travel across the UK

Our client seeks a Business Development Manager to join its small sales team based in London. Reporting to the Sales Director, this is the ideal opportunity to get into an organisation at the start of an exciting new phase of its journey. Duties would include:

* Developing and nurturing existing customer relationships to gain new business

* Development of new customer relationships

* Processing of leads through our partner channels offering full support in the sales cycle

* Dealing with customers queries

* Preparing and submitting quotes for customers

* Processing sales orders via our in-house system and keeping customers well informed of the status of their orders

The ideal candidate will have at least five years' experience delivering or selling safety monitoring or safety solutions to industries such as the rail, construction, roads, airports, manufacturing sectors and/or public utilities.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Essential skills

* Proven track record of gaining credibility and influencing at all levels in a sales environment as well as experience in client relationship management gained over the last 3-5 years.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities whilst working in a demanding environment

Business Development Manager Duties will include the following:

* New business acquisition

* Managing the sales process from start to finish

* Building a pipeline and meeting KPIs

* Managing client retention and growth

* Host client and attend events outside of the normal working hours at venues such as the O2 Arena, Chelsea Football Club and Arsenal Football Club to name a few

* Actively contribute to the development of the business.

* Attend monthly sales meetings

* Recording of all activities on CRM

PERSON SPECIFICATION

* Ideally, we would like a person who can hit the ground running and come into the business with experience and contacts behind them

* Must have a driving license as client meetings can be outside London
