Description:
As the Corporate Researcher, you will be responsible for researching, capturing, gathering and recording materials and data from the inception of client in 2009 to date. This material for the base of a new archive and will be used to tell the story of the development of the company alongside the development of the project ultimately to form an official record for the client. The Corporate Researcher will work with the Corporate Writer to deliver content based on the new archive that could be used in a number of ways including a formal publication on 'The Story of the client'.

About the role:

* Gathering and cataloguing existing data, documents and other materials.

* Mapping timelines and decisions points in the development of the company and project.

* Interviewing key staff in client and the Department for Transport (past and present) to understand how and why decisions were made and provide lines of inquiry for further research.

* Producing evidenced reports on the development of functions within the company alongside the development of the project including;

* Project and Programme management

* Consent and Powers

* Procurement and the Supply Chain

* Land and Property

* Health and Safety

* Environment

* Engineering

* Operations

* Talent & Resource

* Communications and Community Engagement

* Innovation

* Working with the Corporate Writer to develop a coherent narrative stream from the research that tells the story of client and the project and researching additional areas as required.

About You:

* Ability to design and implement complex data gathering and cataloguing projects in challenging circumstances

* Project management and organisation skills, including the ability to set and achieve demanding outputs and outcomes working independently.

* Research skills, including the ability to find pertinent information and assure their accuracy

* Influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence internal and external contacts at all levels

* Ability to grasp complex information quickly and understand how it fits into a wider picture

* Drafting skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly in briefings and reports

* Data compilation, integration, analysis and presentation

* Knowledge of large infrastructure projects and government processes

* Knowledge of structure and purposes

* Experience of working at senior levels in Government or public sector projects or clients

* Experience of designing and implementing large and complex data gathering, research and reporting projects

* Planning and overseeing data gathering projects
