Sales Executive - GIS Software - Max £25k Basic, £50k OTE - Brentford, Greater London

Salary: £22,500 - £25,000 Basic, £45k - £50k OTE plus full benefits package

Location: Brentford, Greater London

This is a leading supplier of map-based (GIS) software solutions. No, GoogleMaps are no competition, don't worry! We're talking solutions around vehicle routing, scheduling and optimisation, supply chain network distribution planning, that kind of thing. They are now seeking salespeople who are hungry and ambitious. Here you will have both an established product to sell and a unique brand-new "rock star" product to sell for which they perceive little or no competition due to its unique nature. This is a small company that has just been acquired by a large company, giving you "the best of both worlds" in terms of stability and working environment.

The following experience and attributes are essential for this role:

*At least one year of experience in sales, preferably telephone sales, including cold-calling

*A good telephone manner.

And that's it! The new sales manager here is more interested in your character and your attitude than your experience. He said: "If they've got the right attitude, we can teach them to do anything!"

Are you ambitious? Do you come across well on the phone? Are you afraid to pick up the phone and cold-call? (You'll be given the leads to call, don't worry!) Are you willing to take rejection? Do you want a career? Would you like to be trained and instructed by a very high-calibre sales manager? "I will teach them from A to Z, so I'm just looking for character."

This is a predominantly office-based, telephone-based Sales Consultant role selling two GIS products (see above). Yes there is cold-calling: They need "hunters" not afraid to pick up the phone, but you will be given the leads to call and your manager will even do some cold-calls with you! Your aim is to get through to decision-makers, find their "pain points", give them the solution as a consultant and get them to agree to a demo of the software.

Initially the demo will be undertaken by the sales manager with you watching, but in time he will train you to conduct more and more of the sales process yourself.

This is a highly consultative role, developing an understanding of clients' problems and how you will solve them.

The new sales manager here is genuinely a very impressive and high-calibre individual. He's ex-Goldman Sachs and being mentored by him is an amazing opportunity and a huge privilege: He's planning to turn you into one very marketable individual, believe me! For example, one of his trainees went on to run the London Stock Exchange and the other became one of the top ten metals brokers in the world. Would you like to be trained by him?

Your career progression here will be from Business Development Executive through Business Development Manager to Supervisor and beyond.

He commented: "…so that's the quality of training they're going to get, so if they ever want to go anywhere else, they will be the most completely trained salespeople I'm aware of. I don't know any other sales organisations that provide the quality of training and the support that we do."

"More importantly than that, they will have the opportunity to have a sales career. I want them to be proud to be a salesperson as I am. By the time they leave here, they'll be able to go anywhere: Any sales organisation. That's why they should come here: You can't buy this!"
