The IT Support Technician role is varied. You will be monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks

of our organisation. You could be installing and configuring software for laptops or servers, diagnosing hardware and

software faults and solving technical and application problems, either over the phone or in person. In addition, you will be

looking after our Azure network infrastructure, helping ensure security of our network and data, in our hosted applications,

on our network or on our staff laptops. You may be asked to help with penetration testing, audits and occasionally with client

engagements. You will be the primary responsible person, however third line support interaction may be required with our

software and services vendors.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Aiimi as we continue to grow, providing an essential support function for our internal

staff and external clients when needed. You will take on technical responsibility for our new Milton Keynes based office,

ensuring that all aspects of the technical requirements are set up, running smoothly and maintained.


You will be responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits from

them. This will include the following activities:

• install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications

• monitor and maintain our computer systems and networks

• monitor, maintain, commission and decommission Azure infrastructure

• monitor and maintain an Office 365 environment

• evaluate and monitor security, implementing security measures as appropriate including AV, VPN’s, SSL certificates, vulnerability assessments and remediation

• pro-actively monitor the network for breeches and or cyber security attacks and implement mitigation strategies

• ensure best practice and up to date cyber security policies are in place at all times

• work with our customers cyber security teams to ensure our policies are in alignment

• develop policies and procedures for the company, working with the Information Governance Committee and senior management

• help us to continue to comply with the Data Protection Act and GDPR

• talk staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues

• respond within agreed time limits to calls

• troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults

• replace parts as required

• provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports

• evaluate, procure and support the roll-out of new applications

• test and evaluate new technology

• set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with Active Directory and ADFS configuration and issues

• prioritise and manage many concurrent work streams

• rapidly establish a good working relationship with internal and occasionally external customers


Competitive starting salary
