Description:

Reporting to the Delivery Manager, the Business Consultant will join a dynamic team of consultants to deliver a number of exciting projects across our established central government client base. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual who is passionate about improving public services for citizens of the UK.

Responsibilities:

Ensure timely project delivery according to project plans and specificationsProduce high quality tasks and assignments with direction from senior levels Create and deliver presentations and written material with clear story-line and flow; with a standard of quality that is easily edited during senior review Assist in customer management and definition of strategy, capability and road-map Business process optimisation, change and transformation Benefits management and customer journey mapping Facilitate workshops both internally and externally Proactively gather and analyse information required for decisions pertaining to the role and project in anticipation of the needs of the project manager Build strong relationships with team members and provide ideas for best practices that can benefit the team Gather meaningful information from stakeholders by utilising effective probing and listening skills to identify and confirm client need Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

Ability to take initiative in the identification of risk, issues or problems in advance Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills Excellent stakeholder engagement skills Knowledge of project management with the ability to take a leading role for a portion of the project Strong influential and negotiation skills Ability to translate business requirements and user requirements into tangible outcomes for delivery Holistic and analytical thinking skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously Experience of working in a technical environment Experience supporting digital transformation projects Desirable Skills and Experience:

Exposure to or experience in dis-aggregation Experience working in a LEAN environment Exposure to digital transformation in the public sector; either within central or local government Experience of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) Exposure to HR practice, Organisational Structure or Procurement Benefits
