The Business Unit Leader of the Diagnostics division, working closely with the Category Manager, is responsible for the creation and implementation of the strategy to execute the plan to deliver the Company’s sales objectives whilst also providing support and the highest level of Customer Care to Veterinary Practices across the UK. To build sales of diagnostic equipment and consumables which will involve sales to existing customers as well as a strong emphasis on obtaining and developing new customers, using the added value tools which only Henry Schein Animal Health offer to help and train practices.

Leading by fostering a team culture and ensuring their ongoing professional development to effectively carry out their roles. Managing key goals and objectives of the team through engagement, motivation and sound performance management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and manage all Diagnostic Equipment Sales Consultants nationally, monitor and support increasing sales, margin, selling our value added services and increase market share as the primary objective. Demonstrate leadership and clearly set out sales objectives and field KPI’s for all Diagnostic sales consultants and put systems in place to evaluate the achievement of these. Working with the Diagnostics Business Unit and the Category Manager, plan, organise and ensure implementation of effective strategies using all company programs, tools and initiatives to increase market share. Support Diagnostic Consultants and respond in a timely fashion to customer concerns following up actions to ensure customer issues / opportunities are communicated to the appropriate department, providing the very best service levels to customers. Effectively manage strategically important key accounts, including from time to time, to make face-to-face contact. Work across internal departments and businesses to ensure the facilitative actions required to support diagnostic sales are proactively managed and completed. Partners with our technology business and departments to ensure integration of systems and alignment of strategies. Work collaboratively across the extended management team to ensure support departments and personnel are clear on requirements, timelines and deliverables. Manage own time and territory effectively and profitably. Facilitate development of others; ensure regular communication with and appraisal of all Diagnostic sales Consultants. Manage performance where necessary. Ensure Diagnostic Sales Consultants are given information on various animal health meetings / seminars and participate in all training programs as instructed. Effectively communicate with all individuals and departments to fulfill role and work objectives. Maintain communication with Technical Business Unit Director on a timely basis and facilitate quarterly sales meetings. Responsible for recruitment and retention of sales team and ensure appropriate skill mix to support national territory cover. Ensure own continuous professional development and ensure an up to date knowledge of the veterinary sales and animal health market. Accountable for adherence to Henry Schein Animal Health company policies and procedures. Work in a professional and harmonious manner and cooperate with all Henry Schein personnel in the execution of all company programs. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required. Requirements

Educated to minimum Degree Level or Animal Health Qualification or previous demonstrable Animal Health Sales Success Strong Communication, Selling and Negotiation Skills Time and Territory Management Project Management Skills Attention to detail The ability to work under pressure. Proficient in the use of MS Office (namely Outlook, Word and Excel) Valid Full UK Driving License Benefits
