About the roleAs our Lead Engineer you will lead and inspire our agile engineering squads to build cutting-edge healthcare technology products. You’ll work directly with the CTO, CEO, Head of Product and our team of engineers. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering great software products focused on incredible customer experiences.

We are looking for a candidate with "Hands-on" development experience in addition to good management skills. Currently the position involves 50% coding/development and 50% management. This means you must have active, recent coding experience at production level.

Key responsibilities:

Manage three or more squads of software engineers, including task planning, execution and code reviews. Manage deployments and our development team and guide architecture and delivery of our mobile and web products. Drive an excellent customer experience, continually raising the bar on functionality, usability, and simplicity in addition to technical innovation Champion engineering excellence, establishing metrics and assessment processes. Refine the development processes to improve the quality of the code, and increase efficiency. Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teams. Have a passionate drive for creating software to transform the healthcare industry. Can attract and recruit engineering talent to build and grow the team in the near future. Requirements

About youOur ideal candidate shall encompass the following core attributes:

BSc/MSc or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field 7+ years of experience in building technical products and mentoring engineers Experience architecting, developing, and launching software products and/or services. Experience managing and motivating successful engineering teams (more than 8 people) Experience at implementing robust agile processes that really work! Experience working with Kubernetes on AWS infrastructure Experience implementing CI/CD Experience from within a fast paced startup Bonus if you have:

Familiarity with Python/ Django stack and flexibility to work with other languages as needed Experience working with microservices Familiarity with front end technologies and frameworks (ES6, React, Angular etc.) Demonstrable experience of mentoring/ inspiring tech talent Benefits
