Business Development Project Manager

Location – London or Africa

This role will report into the Head of Business Development and will oversee a region of Africa in the scope of Project Management, Finance Controls, Management of Corporate Affairs and Legal documentation. The role will form part of the Operation Department based in London, supporting African Business Divisions, while liaising with Marketing, Product, Commercial Analysis and HR departments. This role can be based in either our London Headquarters, African Operations, or potentially in our African Headquarters based in Kenya or Ivory Coast.

The responsibilities will include, but not limit to:

Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Project manage expansions to new territories in Africa as well as business development initiatives in the existing Operations. This would include, but not be limited to planning and defining scope of the projects, planning of resources, setting up activity planning and sequencing, while actively monitoring and reporting on progress to senior management. You will be developing Project Gantt Charts and following up on delivery. Work closely with the Product, Finance and Marketing departments to combine optimal portfolios for development of existing or set-up of new Operations. Conduct detail market and industry research to promote Business Development Initiatives – work closely with Product and Marketing departments to propose new initiatives through growth of the business by franchise, partnership arrangements or network expansion. Identify and deliver of new revenue streams and value for the Company through product development, adoption of new technologies and platforms and strategic partnerships, as well as identification of further business opportunities/acquisitions. Finance and Risk Management:

Prepare budget projections and cash flow analysis of the business, with P&L responsibility. You will closely report on project profitability and return on investment schedule to the Head of Ops Finance. Manage local auditors and provide guidance to Operation’s Managers, Product and Marketing departments on the required improvements. Conduct Risk Analysis and prepare contingency plans and assist in ad hoc matters. Construct Editec’s Business Development Strategy and business expansion models to enhance standardisation, efficiency and scaling of the business growth. Compliance and Corporate Affairs:

Submit applications for operating license and negotiation terms with the national Gaming Boards, ensuring correct license is acquired for Gaming Centers and external/field agents. Source and negotiate all commercial, licensing, distribution and supply agreements. Review contracts and ensure all required adjustments are negotiated and amendments are implemented, ensuring the risk is minimised, while protecting the interest of the business. Develop networking contacts with experts from industry, local media and marketing agents, as well as local charities to continuously promote Editec brand and create business opportunities. Training and Talent Management:

Design and develop Training manuals and programs in relation to Business Development Models, Products etc Working closely with the HR teams to deliver training to Senior Managers and the designated Project Teams. Working with the HR team to continuously monitor Talent Development of employees across your designated Operations in Africa. Have sound judgment in recruiting skilled staff for the full region, as well assisting designated local projects leads in selection of local employees. Requirements

Personal traits and previous experience:

Successfully completed university at a BA or Masters degree, preferably in Finance, or similar quantitative focus or equivalent Excellent oral and written English (and ideally French speaking) Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Strong analytical skills and can focus on details without losing track of the bigger picture Innovative, showing a high degree of own initiative and independent working style Ability and enthusiasm to work in a global and multicultural environment Approaches problems with curiosity and open-mindedness, is a fast learner Team-player, willingness to contribute actively to the overall team spirit Capacity to readily adapt to a changing and dynamic environment Excellent Project Management skills Strong recruitment selection skills, with critical skills in talent development and construction of effective teams for project delivery Commercially driven, politically, operationally and strategically astute Strong interest in Gaming Industry, understanding statistic behind Gaming Products etc Experience gained preferably across African countries with Gaming Boards, Government Institutions etc 5 year previous experience in a similar role, specifically in retail industry Benefits
