Statmetrix is a sports technology startup that is developing a video and data analysis platform that helps football coaches to analyse the performances of their players, while providing scouts with data to find exceptional talent globally. Operating in the exciting world of global football, Statmetrix's game-changing technology facilitates the objective analysis of youth players to identify and develop their innate abilities to become exceptional players.

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your knowledge and further develop your expertise by addressing challenges in the sports technology industry, specifically performance and data analytics. You will also work in parallel with academics and researchers at the Department of Computer Science at Loughborough University, who have an unrivaled track record in related subject areas for vision based human motion analysis. Your responsibilities will include:

Developing computer vison and deep learning-based algorithms for football event detection from match videos, e.g. football and player detection and tracking, action event reasoning. Applying and test the developed technology using client video data Implementing the developed algorithms and deep learning models and provide technical support Working with other product development, business development and design team members Working in collaboration with researchers at Loughborough University to achieve technical objectives and research Requirements

Minimum Master’s degree in Computer Science, preferably a PhD in Computer Vision Knowledge and working experience in computer vision, image processing or machine learning Knowledge in video editing and comparison for web/cloud-based application Programming languages: Python, C++, or Matlab Experience in computer vision packages, e.g. OpenCV Working knowledge of deep learning and its frameworks Excellent communication skills, ability to interact professionally and productively with other team members Benefits
