Hours: 1-4 evenings over a four-week period – week on, week off (2 weeks) or as and when. You will be required to work some unsociable hours. Shifts I am currently looking to cover are:

Alternate Tuesdays 4.30 or 6pm - 9pm

Alternate Wednesdays 4.30 or 6pm - 9.30pm

Alternate Thursdays 4.30 or 6pm - 9pm

Sundays (a minimum of 3 out of 4 per month) 2 - 6pm (with some extended hours required, but to be discussed and agreed in advance) - driver essential for this shift

Other ad-hoc shifts will sometimes be available.

Driver preferred, but not essential.

Purpose of job: To enable a woman with a physical disability to live independently at home. Job offer is subject to a satisfactory DBS and references.

Main responsibilities:

• To assist with:

• Getting up

• Going to bed

• Washing

• Dressing

• Hair care

• Oral hygiene

• Toileting (every aspect)

• Preparing meals

• Feeding

• Assisting around the home

• Using everyday items, for example, turning the TV on/off

• Manual handling – must be physically strong to be able to do this

• To travel and assist in all the normal care duties on occasions, when required

• To maintain client confidentiality

• To understand working boundaries, even when in a social setting

• Any other reasonable duties at the employers instruction

• I live in Harrow and work in Watford

• There is a small dog in my household

• Pay: £9.50 per hour

• Pay is paid every four weeks by BACS and this must be a UK bank account

• The job is funded through the Local Authority
