DRS is a specialist Legal and Regulatory consultancy, providing expertise across a broad spectrum of disciplines within the Finance industry, with a particular focus on the global derivatives market.

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join the DRS team deployed at one of our client's offices (Tier 1 Investment Bank) based in Canary Wharf, London. This is a contract opportunity, offering a competitive rate with scope for ongoing extensions and career progression.

Responsibilities:

The role will be working within the Remediation Portfolio QA Project Team which deals with all asset classes within the Investment Bank, and all standard lending products within the Corporate/Retail Bank and will involve:

Defining the scope of complex products within the remediation portfolio for multiple projects. Analysing data using SQL and analytics products, as well as using business analysis to provide solutions. Manage client population QA team. Creating detailed written advanced quality assurance reports judging the work performed and overall conclusions as required by the Portfolio. Understand complex technical concepts specific to each project; communicating written deliverables and influencing a range of key stakeholders up to Managing Director level on the outcome of their QA Testing. Expert knowledge in assessing the appropriateness and application of the filters applied to the source data to derive the in-scope client population, with reference to key project artefacts (such as steering committee and working group papers), population derivation documents and associated waterfalls. Requirements:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with people at varying levels of seniority. Proven ability to take initiative and utilise problem solving skills. Understanding of loans products including annuity and structured loans. Experience of working with data, including database management (SQL, SAS, OLAP or similar). Experience of using data analytics products, such as ACL, Tableau. Excellent understanding of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SQL. SQL: Ability to understand and create complex DML and DDL statements. Previous experience within in similar role in Financial Services. Recruitment for this role is on-going with various start dates throughout the year.
