Tell me about the role! We are looking for someone to join our growing team as a part of our Compliance function. We don’t view compliance as a hurdle or obstacle to business, but as a valuable asset and enabler to be used as a commercial advantage in our industry. We need someone with the requisite experience and knowledge, who is keen to come and help build an industry leading, scalable and technology enabled Compliance team.

What you will be doing Developing and enhancing Bud’s compliance process from the ground up across all areas of the business (We aim to create scalable tech-led solutions, so any experience with Comply-Tech and API integration would be amazing!) Internal policy formation and review Monitoring of company compliance with policy and processes Due diligence for clients, partners, suppliers and users of the Bud platform Monitoring regulatory changes for the impact on Bud Delivering internal training on compliance matters Reporting on progress to senior management and escalating issues as required Promoting compliance best practice with a view to reducing regulatory, operational and conduct risks Requirements

You might have Substantial experience in a compliance or legal role, or related consulting role. A strong understanding of the UK and European Financial Regulatory Framework and applicable laws. Knowledge of FCA regulatory framework with some direct relevant experience. Legal background and qualifications such as a law degree, LL.B, LL.M, GDL, LPC Experience of working in payments or the financial services sector Evidence of leadership or management experience Project management capabilities Experience in RegTech or API integration. We’re big on keeping Bud a social team, so Christmas and Summer parties can be a big deal. We also put on quarterly events and have a social committee organising things like sports events, music gigs and after-work meet-ups!

Office

Bud’s new office is a newly renovated space, specifically designed to our needs. Cool interior, breakout spaces, professional meeting rooms, brand new kitchen, loads of bike storage and a shower room for our part-time athletes. As our office is in The Bower WeWork there are also tons of events, not to mention, beverages on tap.
