This is a great opportunity to join our award winning agency in the heart of Shoreditch. The Accounts Payable Clerk’s role is to ensure the purchases and expenses that underpin financial reporting and decision making are complete and accurate. They will understand and communicate what needs to be paid out the business and when, in order to improve our working capital cycle. Our finance team ensure that RY runs as a profitable business with funds available to re-invest, grow the business and be adaptable to our client’s needs in an ever changing world.


- Ownership of the Accounts Payable function, overseeing and providing guidance to the Finance Assistant on Accounts Payable.

- Ensure supplier invoices have been appropriately authorised and matched with a valid PO.

- Ensure the correct VAT treatment has been applied to purchase invoices and expenses

- Manage cost authorisation through appropriate sign-off procedure.

- Arranging payment runs for supplier invoices, freelancers and staff expenses and posting bank payments as per the timetable.

- Manage the corporate credit card account and impose card controls.


- Previous experience of working in an accounts payable role.

- Experience of managing invoice runs / running BACS supplier payments.

- Ideally you will have experience of working in an agency or professional services organisation.

- Ability to communicate with multiple people and manage suppliers.

- Able to reconcile supplier accounts.

- Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

- Moderate Excel skills and experience using accounting systems.

- You're a good team player and take pride and care in the work that you do, as well as being committed to the success of the finance team.

- You'll have loads of enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
