Description:
About us:

Watford Community Housing owns over 5,000 homes across South-West Hertfordshire and, by working closely with our residents and local communities, we provide high-quality services aimed at improving our residents’ and communities’ everyday lives.

About the role:

This role will be responsible for delivering a customer focused housing options service to existing and new tenants. Working closely with other teams, you will provide a community based voids letting service, ensuring that the end to end process is completed in line with our standards and procedures. You will support the Neighbourhood Services Team in advising customers on their individual housing requests ranging from mutual exchanges to transfers and downsizing.

Within this diverse role you will also get the opportunity to work on performance management projects, seeking out feedback from service users to implement improved processes and procedures.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have worked in a similar role previously and as such will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the social housing allocations process as well as current housing options and welfare benefits. Educated to level 3 in a relevant subject, you will ideally hold professional membership (Chartered Institute of Housing, CIH) and have experience of using Orchard Housing Management systems.

You will be a confident communicator who can handle conflict well and make decisions with ease whilst keeping the customer’s needs as the main focus. You will have excellent IT skills and will be able to use them for performance reporting and management.

Due to the nature of the role it is essential that you have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance.

What we offer:

In return, we offer a host of benefits including:

28 days annual leave & bank holidays

Employer pension contribution up to 11%

Career development opportunities

Extensive employee rewards programme which includes shopping discounts, duvet days & free massages.

If this sounds like the role for you then we would love to hear from you!
