As a homelessness charity and housing association our clients are at the heart of what we do. We provide a bed and support to more than 2,700 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to end homelessness and rebuild lives.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advice Worker, experienced in providing accommodation, finance, benefits and debt advice to offenders, to join our Offender Services team in Hertfordshire. In this peripatetic role, you will support the prison based team in HMP The Mount assisting prisoners prior to their release to gain suitable accommodation. You will also support offenders in Hertfordshire community offering to gain suitable accommodation, advice on tenancy sustainment and provide support to prevent evictions and other housing related matters. In addition to accommodation support you will also assist with benefit, finance and debt issues.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency team we are look for an excellent communicator who is able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with external agencies in order to provide the highest levels of support to our client-group. You will have experience of providing housing related advice and an in depth knowledge of the issues facing individuals with a history of offending and wider support needs.
