About the role.

Our Accountancy Coaches (AAT) deliver apprenticeship programmes to learners within a range of professional employers ranging from a small office to the Local Authority. Utilising your experience, you will help inspire learners to realise their potential as you support and guide them through their training and assessment. You will be required to visit apprentices locally and deliver a professional, high quality service, underpinned by the need to meet exacting quality procedures set by the awarding body and the host client.

In this role, you can genuinely change lives through offering learners the support and guidance they need to help them achieve their aspirations. All our Accountancy apprenticeship are delivered through AAT and your coach will provide guidance on teaching & learning throughout your journey.

Have you got what it takes?

You should have a passion for what you do along with relevant and recent experience. To become an AAT Assessor, you must hold the Level 4 Diploma for Accounting Technicians or NVQ/SVQ Level 4 in Accounting. Alternatively, assessors must hold a Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies (CCAB) qualification – CIPFA, ICAEW, CIMA, ICAS, ICAI or ACCA. AAT will consider applications from those holding accounting degrees, or relevant, significant accounting experience on an individual basis. Excellent communication skills are essential, both when dealing with our on-site apprentices and the relevant stakeholders they report in to. You must be professional and able to motivate and encourage people at all levels. You will need lots of energy, enthusiasm with the ability to bring the subject matter to life. You will need to be willing to travel and have a driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
