Production Manager (Workshop)

Enfield

Up to £50,000 DOE + 28 Days Holidays + Pension

Monday to Friday, 6.30am to 5pm.

Production Manager required for a rapidly expanding welding and fabrication company based in Enfield. Having been open for 7 years now, the company have recently moved site due to growth within the business.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of running production within a workshop-based environment, although those from manufacturing production management will also be considered. You will need to be organised, hands on and able to work autonomously. Those from heavy industry, metals, wood or similar environments would be advantageous.

The Role:

* You will be responsible for the day to day running of the production area in the workshop.

* 80% management & 20% hands on.

* You will prioritise tasks and ensure that production is kept to schedule.

* Ensure the Store Foreperson has the correct materials and tools in the workshop store.

* Liaise with contractors for any repairs of production machinery.

* Take in and sign for spares orders, ensure they are stored correctly.

* Being hands on completing tasks that are required.

* Checking transport vehicles are properly looked after and organised.

* Implementing and writing of SOP’s.

* Process orders through accounts for sign off.

* Managing of 12 labourers (welders and fabricators) and other Management/Leadership team members within the production team.

* Reporting directly into the MD, including any production issues.

The Candidate:

* Will have previous experience of running production within a workshop-based environment, although those from manufacturing production management will also be considered.

* You will need to be organised, happy to be hands on when required and able to work autonomously.

* Those from heavy industry, metals or wood would be advantageous.

* First Aid qualifications or Forklifts license would also be ideal although this is not a must (training can be given).
