About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ELT professional to lead a team delivering new products for our thriving Italian Secondary list and to help develop our exciting ELT Secondary publishing plans. You will be based in our Turin office, or elsewhere in Italy (or alternatively in our Cambridge office), and part of a closely knit global team but with the key focus being on publishing for the Italian Secondary state school market.

The role will involve regular travel within Italy and closely liaison with our wider Italy team and local business partners. As a Secondary Publisher, you will be playing an important role in building on our core strengths and position as a trusted university press publisher, and helping to expand on our proven track record as a major force in Secondary ELT publishing.

About you:

You will have a proven track record of creating and delivering competitive ELT product, especially for Italy, a thorough knowledge of the ELT landscape there, and the ability to lead an editorial team. You will thrive on working with project teams, offering excellent communication lines and a clear sense of direction and purpose to maximise the performances within your team in working towards a common goal. You will be educated to at least first degree level, have considerable editorial experience, with Italy at the heart of it, and ideally also a strong background in language teaching.

The role requires a strong combination of skills including pedagogical and content expertise, strategic thinking, financial awareness and project management.
