Significant experience of commercial cleaning gained in an operational / branch management role within the Facilities Management sector is a pre-requisite to successfully apply this role.

Our client has expanded to become one of the UK’s most respected support service contractors. Now a market leader in Total Facilities Management, they are able to provide a diverse range of tailored services. From commercial cleaning, site security and janitorial supplies to full building maintenance, our client provides a complete range of property management services.

With extensive experience in the commercial cleaning sector and reporting to the Regional Operations Director, the Branch Manager will be responsible for overseeing all elements of commercial cleaning and related services to the standards of expertise and customer service that are maintained within our client’s business.

Regional activities currently generate £9m in annual turnover and the aim is to increase turnover to £18m within the next 3-years. The Branch Manager will operate as a key member of the local management team and will have a significant input into the delivery of this ambitious target.

The Role - Branch Manager

In the course of carrying out this role the post holder will:

Co-ordinate the allocation of work to a dedicated team of operatives and subcontractors.Organise and direct operatives and subcontractors on the job to ensure continuity and improve productivity.Liaise with the client, branch staff, operatives, subcontractors, head office staff to ensure that services are covered and delivered to the standards required by the company.Act as liaison point for Branch Management and clients and develop a strong working relationship with all site stakeholders.Promote teamwork and co-operation between site teams, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.Ensure all operatives and subcontractors wear appropriate corporate wear, including ID badge and that all operatives and subcontractors have and use appropriate PPE.Liaise with clerical support team members ensuring that site logs are updated and reviewed and that service issues are actioned where appropriate on a daily basis.The Candidate - Branch Manager

To be successful in this role you will possess a depth of experience within the commercial cleaning sector gained at the operational management level. In addition, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Exceptional leadership and team building abilities to develop and maintain internal/external relationships.Strong business acumen.Highly developed analytical skills (reporting and interpretation).Competency in the use of Microsoft Word & Excel and databases.Excellent communications skills.Next Steps
