The role

You’ll be joining at an exciting time to drive the expansion of our consumer business. We piloted a consumer sales team in August 2018 and based on the growing success of the team, are now looking for an experienced and driven sales leader who can deliver a real impact.

Reporting into the CMO, you’ll be responsible for owning our consumer sales strategy, managing and growing the team to support both our UK and International business. With an entrepreneurial mindset you'll be excited about taking ownership of the team, developing it into its own division which will be core to driving exponential growth of our business.

What you’ll do

Own and deliver against the consumer sales strategy, devising and leading effective bonus/commission schemes to motivate the team to deliver sales through service. Recruit, train, nurture and motivate all sales staff including full time and part time along with office and remote based workers. Build out the team, optimising resource to reflect consumer demand including evenings and weekends. Ensure we’re delivering exceptional on-brand service and quality consistently across the team. Develop strategies to improve productivity and efficiency in the areas of call quality, agent conversion, team conversion and productivity to name but a few. Work with our product team to build out our CMS to ensure we optimise for productivity. Build out and optimise an omni-channel sales strategy using phone, email, SMS and whatsapp. Report on progress, outcomes and key learnings to the team and wider business on a weekly and monthly basis. Responsible for sharing customer insights and potential product improvements to the rest of the business. Requirements

What we’re looking for:

Minimum 4-6 years in sales - ideally some experience in consumer sales but not essential. Ability to demonstrate and evidence previous successful sales experience with a back catalogue of targets being achieved and broken in a high volume tele-sales environment. Experienced in hiring, training and motivating both full time and part time staff, ideally both remotely and onsite. Ability to coach sales methodologies, develop competitive selling skills and drive positive behaviours within our sales team, jumping on the phones if need be to show the team how its done. At your best in a target driven business, with a relentless desire to meet and beat monthly KPIs. Proven track record of implementing and executing sales strategy, on time and under budget Exceptional listening skills and the ability to formulate questioning techniques to drive a more consultative agent approach Excellent communication skills, able to modify your style to operate seamlessly at levels of the business, from the sales team up to and including our senior management team and Board. Comfortable with the analysis of data to drive effective decisions to improve performance, you will always be looking for the best techniques to drive your people to deliver great conversion results. An imaginative thinker who can conceive of new ways to tackle a problem and is driven enough to push on and bring ideas to completion. An entrepreneurial spirit.
