As a Tutor delivering education in prisons, you can really make a difference to improve people’s lives. Challenging, yet extremely rewarding, this role plays a significant part in helping to reduce our learners re-offending.

PeoplePlus are a leading employment support and training services company, helping people to transform their lives and businesses through work, training, education and financial advice.

Our Justice Division delivers the Offender Learning and Skills Contract (OLASS) in 10 prisons across the East of England. Our vision is to deliver high quality education training and vocational skills to a wide range of offenders, from those serving very short sentences of under six months to life sentenced offenders.

Our Tutors play an integral part in identifying the training requirements of our learners, building them a training plan and helping them to overcome any barriers to employment.

The salary band for a fully qualified Tutor is £23,500 - £28,500 and for an unqualified Tutor £18,900 - £23,100. PeoplePlus will support and fund unqualified or part qualified Tutors in obtaining a full teaching qualification.
