2nd line Support Engineer - Contract - London

Square One are looking for a 2nd line Support Engineer to come on board for an initial 6 month contract in London.

This is an initial 6 month contract, paying £170pd

This roles is an equal split between administration and active remediation of compliance PC issues

Duties will include

* Contacting customers on a daily basis to schedule appointments to remediate their non-compliant machines

* Ensure full understanding and compliance of the dynamically changing security KPI's for our UKI workstation fleet.

* Assist in resolving customer escalations that may occur as a direct result of compliance activity, process or security compliance toolset change, also focusing on resolving root cause problems.

* Ensure accuracy in the security and compliance administrative work to ensure the UKI remains ahead of compliance.

* Ensure a good understanding of the various security tools and processes that reside in the workstation environment.

* Ensure that appropriate understanding and knowledge resides within our local support teams.

* Be aware of changes to this environment communicating change to products and processes where necessary.

* Work with others to continually promote and develop ways to automate and simplify security remediation processes that end users follow to remain compliant.

* Ensure key local stakeholders remain abreast of current workstation security posture, risks, issues, future changes and requests. Ensure that robust management information is available to compliment these updates.

* Lead where required change initiatives in the workstation security environment, helping to impact changes at a GU level and ensure the customer experience is optimised, gaining assistance from other resources where required.

* Ensure that a strong customer service ethos is provided as part of support provision requirements Asset Management Governance

* Ensure we have in situ effective processes and controls to maintain the required asset management KPI's for our UKI workstation fleet.

* Work with relevant individuals and team leads to improve and bridge gaps where needed within operational asset management activity.

* Ensure TSL Support teams remain educated and informed, understand and comply with asset management responsibilities, working alongside relevant team leads and asset management champions to do so.

* Work to identify service improvements that aim to continuously evolve and improve our asset management processes and asset integrity.

* Complete administrative work around Fixed Asset Report, cross charging and local governance. Physical Asset Management Governance

* Ensure there is a clear working governance plan with associated processes and policies to maintain appropriate security standards and chain of custody when securing and storing assets within our UKI physical environment, working closely with AWS Security team.

* Work alongside Information Security teams and UKI TSL Service Management to positively impact and maintain ISO accreditation controls.

* Conduct periodic physical asset storage audits at required UKI sites, ensure appropriate standards and controls are being adhered to.

* Educate and ensure awareness within UKI support teams of required processes and security standards to follow. Gain buy in and assistance of team leads and others including team security champions.

* Manage and assist in the maintenance of hardware and software inventories, using CIO standard asset management systems and procedures, using other resources where required.
