In line with our exciting growth plans, we are looking for a commercial director to help grow our professional services offering. The position will involve working closely with the CEO and senior management team to identify new clients as well as forging strong commercial relationships with existing clients.

About The Role

We are currently looking for a Commercial Director to join our growing capital markets practice. In this role you will help develop strong relationships with new customers to grow our sales pipeline.

You will be involved in a variety of activities, typically:

Leading written proposals, bids and client presentations.

Managing your own sales quota, selling professional services to top tier clients.

Supporting and driving both new business development as well as existing account growth.


Essential requirements for this position:

You have demonstrable experience of selling professional services to solve complex software problems in the capital markets industry. Typical deal value of £1m + We are looking for a strong team player who works well with others to achieve organisational goals. You are eager to build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues. You have a consultative approach, demonstrating real empathy and a desire to help solve our clients complex software problems. Good commercial knowledge for making T&M (Time & Material) / Fixed Price managed services deals. Demonstrate a strong understanding and appreciation of what software development teams do in a professional services environment. It is not required to have hands-on development experience however it is essential that you are aware of development practices and roles within a team developing bespoke software solutions to the highest standards. Proven excellent influencing and negotiation skills. You are continuously learning and demonstrate curiosity and interest in your work. This is a fast paced, constantly evolving technology market and you have a keen interest in the application of software and data technologies to solve significant business problems for large enterprises. Willing to travel regularly in the UK and Europe for customer visits. There may be occasional travel to the Americas and Asia.

Advantageous to have:

A strong network of C-level/Decision maker contacts in the capital markets sectors. Subject matter expertise in the sectors we operate in. Experience working in professional software services sector.

The selection process:

Selected candidates will undergo an initial phone screen followed by online assessment and a meeting with senior leadership team and the CEO.
