Description:
Role: Behaviour mentor required for specialist behaviour secondary school in the Kidbrooke area.

Description: I am looking for a behaviour mentor who is resilient and enjoys working with children who have challenging behaviour, sometimes as a result of difficult home lives. You must be able to inspire students to succeed, despite their barriers to learning.

£60 - £75 per day, dependent on experience

The school:

* Is an alternative provision for students who have not been able to stay in mainstream school due to their behaviour

* Has academic lessons in the morning and alternative activities to offer in the afternoon focussing on the development of their social skills and life skills

* Only has a small number of students

* Has a great relationship between staff, students and parents

* Has a great team of staff who work together to ensure the students are learning and developing every day

The role:

* Provide 1:1 support for a particular student in year 11, as well as the others in the class

* Build a rapport with all students and assist their social and emotional development as well as their academic ability

* Provide effective behaviour support, including assisting with physical intervention where absolutely necessary

* Working hours are 08:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, during term time only

* Assuming you do well in your first week, this role is guaranteed for at least the rest of the academic year

Experience working with young people who have social, emotional or mental health difficulties is essential.
